In June 2005 a truck pulled up to Worthy Farm with 2 Airbus cockpits on the back. They unloaded in front of the Deluxe Diner and one was converted into a bar, the other had table football. We wanted to have some artwork on them and that year Banksy painted a WW2 nosecone style painting of Marilyn Monroe with a can of Special Brew. The cockpits were a big hit and Vogue did a photoshoot in them that year. Since then they have been repainted many times by many different artists, and are a constantly evolving piece. 

We want to say a big thank you to Alister for the nosecones, and to Dave Yehuda, Andy Phipps and Simon Vaughn who have helped curate over the years.

2007 - Banksy x Mutoid Waste

In 2007 as part of Trash City, the cockpit was mutated by Joe Rush and the Mutoids.

2009

For 2009 the cockpits were modified again, this time with pink flames on the side.

2012 - Ron English

In 2012 one of the nosecones was painted up by Ron English, touching up the Banksy on the side. 

2012 - Risk

Also in 2012 we had LA graffiti legend Risk paint the other nosecone in purple.

2013 - Pure Evil

After the fallow year in 2012, Welsh artist Pure Evil fully repainted the cockpits with blue and orange flames.

2014 - Ricardo Cavolo

Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo was tapped in 2014 to paint the nosecones in his eclectic style.

2019 - Kedals 

We had Kedals redo the planes in 2019 in pastel colours. 

2022 - Andrew Millar

In 2022 Andrew Millar revamped the cockpits with a metallic gold livery.

2023 - Olaolu Slawn

For 2023 the superstar artist Olaolu Slawn sprayed up the nosecones.

2024 - Soldier

Nigerian-British artist Soldier painted them in 2024, adding his touch to the cockpits.
